There’s something about early fall in Rochester, New York that feels especially timeless; the softer light, the hint of gold in the trees, and the way the air invites families to slow down and simply be together. As a Rochester NY family photographer, this is one of my favorite seasons to capture natural, light-filled family photos that feel both effortless and meaningful. This beautiful family of five met me for their session surrounded by the quiet paths and tall trees of Mendon Ponds, and from the very first frame it felt effortless.
With leaves just beginning to turn and sunlight filtering through the woods, Mendon Ponds Park in Rochester, NY provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxed, joy-filled family photography session. Mom’s soft, flowing dress and the neutral tones the family chose blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings, creating that light and airy look that never goes out of style. Every detail, from tiny hands wrapped around fingers to the way the parents naturally leaned toward one another, felt authentic and full of love.

There’s something magical about spending golden hours with two people who are truly in love, and Alyssa and Eli’s engagement session was just that. Captured on a warm late-summer evening, their session was filled with soft light, genuine emotion, and one very adorable guest of honor: their pup, Milo.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that these two were completely comfortable with each other, and Milo fit right into the energy. Whether he was trotting along beside them, sneaking into poses, or giving his best proud-pup stare at the camera, he added the perfect touch of personality to their photos. Their session felt real and effortless, the kind of shoot where you forget the camera is even there.
